What is couples and relationship therapy?
Every couple goes through peaks and valleys, and sometimes the relationship needs more support. For many of us, problems with our partners can be the most frustrating issues we have to face, leaving us feeling upset, overwhelmed, and miserable. We start our relationships feeling hopeful, buoyant, and exhilarated, believing we have found our ‘soul mate’. Couples therapy offers a space for you and your partner to work out sticky spots and learn communication, heal from harm, and process together.
We welcome all relationship types – from couples to triads and more. Read further about our ENM inclusive therapy here. Contact us today to get matched with a therapist!
Why seek couples and relationship therapy?
Maybe you’ve been spinning in circles on the same topic, or maybe there’s been a recent difficulty in the relationship. Symptoms of a relationship in trouble can include one or more of the following: you don’t have fun with each other any more; your sex life is unsatisfying or non-existent; you have angry, escalating arguments where you say hurtful, mean things to each other; you are cold and distant with each other; or you disagree over everything, even when you know the issues are trivial.
Whatever it is, we offer a non-judgmental space to work through it together and figure out the best outcome for your relationship. Additionally, our therapists bring a deep understanding of relationships in the queer and non-monogamous community that you won’t be able to find elsewhere.
