As Owner of The Pincus Center, I’m here to tell you why you should come to our center if you want to get help around polyamory.
When I started my practice in 2011, nobody knew what polyamory was, not to mention consensual non-monogamy, ethical non-monogamy, all the different flavors of non-monogamy. There was a small group of people you could find at the Poly Living Conference and at Loving More, but really most people had no idea what I was talking about.
Now, it’s 15 years later, I run a group practice. I train other therapists. We all work around sexuality, non-monogamy, neurodivergence, kink; these are our specialties. We work with LGBTQ+ people. We help people figure out how to communicate well. And how to center pleasure in their lives so that they can find joy, even when the world is really going to shit. Because if you don’t have joy, you don’t have the energy to fight. So it’s worth it.
I wanted to say a little bit about what’s going on in the space. We’ve been doing this for a really long time. I’ve helped people go through the whole process of finding non-monogamous partners, opening up, figuring out how to manage jealousy, but also figuring out how to live with multiple partners, figuring out how to raise kids as a poly family. There’s a lot more to talk about than just opening up.
So, it makes sense for people to come our way when they’re saying:
- “I’m trying to figure out how to open this relationship.”
- “I’m trying to figure out how to raise this kid in this poly dynamic.”
- “I’m trying to figure out what the boundaries are for me in this situation.”
- “I’m trying to figure out if this still works with my identity changing.”
We’re here for you. We hope to see you in a consultation soon. Or connect with us to find resources.
