What is gender affirming care in therapy?
Gender affirming care doesn’t stop with your primary care doctor. You deserve to be recognized as your authentic self in all areas of your life, especially therapy. Whether you are exploring your own gender identity or just want a therapist with whom you can feel safe, The Pincus Center is the right place for you.
Have you ever had a provider who just couldn’t get your pronouns correct? How about a couples therapist who didn’t correctly identify you or your partner? These experiences can make it difficult to trust someone. That’s why we make it a priority to create a safe space where you can explore all areas of yourself. Contact us today to get matched with a therapist!

Why is it important to have a gender affirming therapist?
Oftentimes it can feel difficult to figure out your gender identity, and it can help to have someone to talk it through with. Gender identity can be deeply personal and complex, and having a compassionate, knowledgeable guide can make all the difference.
All of the staff at the Pincus Center have training on gender exploration. In addition the majority of our staff identify as trans or non-binary which means that you can work with someone first hand who has experience exploring gender. Our lived experiences enhance our ability to provide meaningful, empathetic care, so you can feel confident knowing you’re working with someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
