Experience and Background of Dr. Eli Sheff

I am a researcher, expert witness, relationship coach, speaker, and educational consultant. In particular, I’m the foremost researcher on children in polyamorous families. For over 20 years, I’ve specialized in studying polyamory and have published three books on the topic: The Polyamorists Next Door, When Someone You Love is Polyamorous, and Children in Polyamorous Families. For me, the most important thing is that you’re able to find the kind of relationship that allows you the most joy with the least pain, with the people you choose and who choose you. My goal is to help people figure out what kind of relationship they want, and how to deal with their challenges in consensually non-monogamous and/or kinky relationships.

Here at The Pincus Center, I draw on my extensive knowledge of polyamory and kink/BDSM to provide relationship coaching for those who are seeking both an external perspective as well as practical strategies to deal with jealousy, set realistic boundaries, deal with conflict, and improve communication skills. I also offer workshops on various aspects of consensual nonmonogamy. If you’re opening up your relationship, trying to navigate the waters of CNM, or simply need support building intimate relationships that nurture and fulfill you, reach out for a consultation and let’s talk about how to get you where you want to be!
